- Learning pacing is critical in a solid bike effort (and having run legs later)
- Getting out of the gray zone is key! Learn what that means!
- Heart Rate Training is a very useful tool in pacing and racing
- Lactate Threshold testing is critical, as everyone’s LT Heart Rate is different, and calculations by age are too general.
- You can train the body to utilize lactate acid as fuel, recycling!!!
- Nutrition during these workouts and efforts that corresponds to how the body is producing energy is key
- Recovery is vital, do you know how to do it well
